Tinting / Lash Lift /Fluffy Brows
  • Patch Test: required 24 hours before your first treatment. If it is a regular treatment then we do not need to repeat patch test, unless we have not seen you for 6 months then another patch must be carried out.
  • Clean Face: Shower and clean your face with water and a gentle cleanser before your visit.
  • Avoid Makeup: Arrive makeup-free, especially avoiding mascara and waterproof eyeliner for at least 24 hours before the appointment.
  • No Eye Creams: Skip eye creams, moisturizers, or oils around the eye area on the day of the appointment.
  • No Self Tan : Avoid self tan products for 48/72 hours before tinting.
  • No Caffeine: Avoid caffeine to prevent any fluttering of the eyes during the procedure.
  • Remove Contact Lenses: Take out your contact lenses before the appointment.
  • Grow Out Brows: Allow your brow hairs to grow out for a minimum of three weeks to ensure optimal results.
  • Avoid Retinol and Acids: Avoid using topical creams containing retinol, AHA, or BHA for at least 72 hours before your appointment.
Aftercare
  • Avoid Water: Keep your lashes/brows dry for at least 24 hours after the treatment.
  • Keep Lashes Dry: Avoid water, steam, and sweat for the first 24 hours.
  • No Makeup: Avoid applying mascara, brow or any eye makeup for 24 hours.
  • No Rubbing: Refrain from rubbing your eyes, brows or lashes.
  • Oil-Free Products: Use oil-free makeup removers and cleansers to prolong the treatment.
  • Avoid Heat: Stay away from saunas, steam rooms, and hot showers for 24 hours.
  • Brush : Gently brush your lashes or brows daily with a clean spoolie to maintain their shape.
Body Waxing
  • Exfoliate: Gently exfoliate the area to be waxed 24-48 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells and help prevent ingrown hairs.
  • Clean Skin: Ensure the area is clean and free of lotions, oils, or creams on the day of your appointment.
  • Hair Length: Lycon will remove hairs as short as 1mm.But for strip wax, make sure your hair is at least 1/4 inch long (about the length of a grain of rice) for the wax to grip effectively.
  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Stay out of the sun and avoid tanning beds for at least 24 hours before your appointment to prevent skin irritation.
  • Pain Management: If you're concerned about pain, you can take an over-the-counter pain reliever like ibuprofen about 30 minutes before your appointment.

  • Medication & Supplements: Inform us of any medication or supplements, as some interfere with the procedure or increase risk of side effects, especially blood thinning medication.
  • Avoid Laser/IPL Treatments: Refrain from any laser or IPL treatments on the area to be treated for at least one week prior.
  • Avoid Smoking and Alcohol: For thread vein treatment, avoid smoking, drinking alcohol, or taking ibuprofen for at least four hours before and after treatment.
  • Clean Skin: Ensure the treatment area is clean and free of lotions, oils, or makeup on the day of your appointment.
Aftercare

  • Wear Loose Clothing: Opt for loose-fitting clothes to avoid friction and irritation on the treated area.
  • Follow Up Sessions may be needed, depending on the type of treatment carried out and your desired result.
Diode  
  • Shave the Area: Shave the treatment area 12-24 hours before your appointment to remove the hair shaft but leave the hair bulb intact. Shaving just before the treatment will cause extra sensitivity.
  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Stay out of the sun and avoid tanning beds for at least two weeks before your appointment to prevent skin irritation and burns. Tanned skin can be treated but not if the tan is active.
  • No self-tanning products can be used on the area 2 weeks before the treatment.
  • No Waxing or Plucking: Refrain from waxing, plucking, or using hair removal creams for at least four weeks before your treatment and between appointments. Shaving is fine.

  • Wear Comfortable Clothing: Dress in loose, comfortable clothing that is easy to remove.
  • Communicate: Inform your massage therapist of any medical conditions, allergies, or areas of discomfort.
  • Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Refrain from consuming alcohol or caffeine before your massage to help your body relax.

Pregnancy Massage

  • Consult Your Doctor: Always consult your healthcare provider before scheduling a pregnancy massage to ensure it's safe for you and your baby.
  • 1st Trimester:  we can only carry out your massage after the first trimester (12 weeks). When booking let us know if you have been classed as a high-risk pregnancy.
  • Communicate: inform your therapist about any specific concerns, or discomforts you may be experiencing. This includes areas of tension, pain, or sensitivity that you would like them to focus on or avoid.
  • Positioning options: Discuss the available options during the massage to find the most comfortable and safe positions for you. Prenatal massage usually involves side-lying with the use of supportive pillows or cushions.

This system is not advised with those with highly sensitive skin, or those who have skin conditions such as rosacea, eczema, etc. A patch test is required 24/48 hours before treatment begins.

  • Avoid Hair Removal: Avoid waxing, depilatory creams, or electrolysis on face five days prior to treatment
  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Stay out of the sun and avoid tanning beds & IPL/Laser procedures for at least two weeks before your treatment.

Day 1

Remove masque at home
The masque can be removed after 4-7 hours, depending on skin type) gently in the shower or at the sink with light fingertip circles on wet skin. A soft damp cloth may be used to facilitate the removal but avoid rubbing or using heavy pressure. Do not splash the face with water. Avoid getting the masque in the eyes. Rinse clean and gently pat dry. This will remove the Peel but avoid any heavy friction, as skin may become more sensitive.

Evening of treatment (after removing mask) and following day (Day 2)
Do not apply any products except for Ultraccalming Mist. Use as often as needed.

Day 3 until completion of treatment

  • Apply a five pence amount of Continuous Resurfacing Cream twice a day (AM and PM).
  • After starting the cream, the skin may feel irritation upon application, this feeling should dissipate within 15-20 minutes. If the irritation is felt longer, please contact your skin professional. They will either suspend the use of the cream for a few days or reduce usage to one daily application. If skin feels sensitive, spray Dermalogica UltraCalming Mist to soothe skin. Use as often as needed. Continue for up to 6 weeks or until the entire Continuous Resurfacing Cream is used.

Laser Blemish Removal

  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Stay out of the sun and avoid tanning beds and self tanning products for at least two weeks before your appointment to prevent skin irritation.
  • Avoid Blood Thinners: such as aspirin or ibuprofen for a week prior to treatment.
  • No Waxing or Plucking: Refrain from waxing, plucking, or using hair removal creams on the area to be treated for at least six weeks before your treatment.
  • Shave: shave the area of tattoo removal before treatment.

  • Product Usage: Use a mild cleanser for 24/48 hours after treatment with no exfoliation. Keep the treated area hydrated by applying a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer regularly.
  • Avoid Fragranced Products: Skip using perfumed lotions, deodorants, or creams on the treated area for 24-48 hours.
  • No Scratching: Refrain from scratching or picking at the treated area to avoid irritation and infection.
  • Avoid Exercise: Stay out of pools, hot tubs, and the ocean for at least 24-48 hours to prevent irritation and infection. Do not do any strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
  • Wear Loose Clothing: Opt for loose-fitting clothes to avoid friction and irritation on the treated area.
  • Keep well hydrated: by drinking water for a few days both before and after your treatment. Hydrated skin tends to respond better to treatments and can enhance results. Avoid alcohol, caffeine & smoking as these can dehydrate.
  • Follow: skincare and treatment recommendations. Regular treatments may be required, for certain treatments, the frequency and number will be discussed, consistency is key to achieving and maintaining desired outcomes.

Nail Treatments

  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Stay out of the sun and avoid tanning beds for at least two weeks after your treatment to prevent skin irritation and hyperpigmentation.
Aftercare
  • For best results book in regular nail appointments, we would recommend booking in every two weeks.
  • Do not file or cut nails after treatment as this will break the seal and more likely to lift off.
  • Avoid biting, picking or peeling your nails or gel polish. Make sure they are removed professionally.
  • Use a cuticle oil and hand/foot cream daily this will keep hands/feet and nails hydrated and nourished. Use a foot file between appointments.
  • If having polish please allow plenty of time after treatment to allow time to dry before leaving the salon. If having polish on toes please wear open toe shoes/ flip flops.
  • Do not use your nails as tools please wear gloves when washing up, cleaning and gardening.
  • We can’t guarantee how long your nails will last, it depends on wear and tear. Any nail colour applied is only as good as the base. However, we will repair any damage within 3 days of your treatment free of charge, after this time a charge will apply.

Ear Piercing

  • Ensure you feel fit and well before piercing
  • Ensure your ears are clean and free of lotions, oils, or makeup on the day of your appointment.
  • Have a light meal or snack before your appointment to prevent feeling lightheaded.
Aftercare
  • Wash your hands before touching the piercing
  • Cleanse the front & back of the ear 2 to 3 times a day with your aftercare solution
  • While cleaning, rotate the jewellery 2 to 3 times, 180 degrees left, then right, i.e. a half turn only. This will avoid hair wrapping around the post at the back of the ear. In between cleansing, the ear should be kept dry.
  • Keep hair spray, soap, shampoo and other preparations away from the ear. After shampooing, the ear should be rinsed with clear water and then cleansed with your aftercare solution.
  • Due to the nature of ear piercing, exposure of newly pierced ears to certain environments such as swimming and exercising may increase the likelihood of infection.
  • The piercing area should be cleansed with Studex aftercare lotion then kept dry, especially after bathing, swimming or exercise.

Ear Lobe

Advanced Solution
Follow aftercare for 3 weeks wearing earrings continuously. After 3 weeks, the piercing earrings can be replaced with other straight post earrings, these also need to be worn continuously.
After Piercing Lotion
Follow aftercare for 6 weeks wearing earrings continuously. After 6 weeks, the piercing earrings can be replaced with other straight post earrings, these also need to be worn continuously.
Use only straight post earrings (not curved) continuously for the first 6 months from piercing. The post should be a surgical grade stainless steel or other hypoallergenic material.

Ear Cartilage

Advanced Solution
Follow aftercare for 8 weeks wearing earrings continuously. After 8 weeks, the piercing earrings can be replaced with other straight post earrings, these also need to be worn continuously.

After Piercing Lotion
Follow aftercare for 12 weeks wearing earrings continuously. After 12 weeks, the piercing earrings can be replaced with other straight post earrings, these also need to be worn continuously.

Due to the nature of ear cartilage, extra care should be observed during the healing period.
Use only straight post earrings (not curved) continuously for the first 6 months from piercing. The post should be a surgical grade stainless steel or other hypoallergenic material.

X Do Not remove earrings or handle them unnecessarily.

X Do Not push the butterfly along the post towards the ear. The butterfly must always be positioned at the tip of the post. Feel the position each time you clean the ear - it must feel smooth. This ensures that the earring remains Loose during the healing period. This is essential as tight earrings may lead to inflammation and increase the risk of embedding. 

Minor pain / redness may occur immediately -  this is normal. This will settle within 48 hours provided proper aftercare is carried out. If undue pain / swelling / redness occurs at any tie, seek medical advice immediately.

Failure to properly follow aftercare procedures or seek immediate medical advice should a problem occur, may result in permanent damage to the ear cartilage. 

Nose Piercing

  • Avoid Alcohol and Aspirin: Refrain from consuming alcohol or aspirin for at least 24 hours before your appointment as they can thin your blood and increase bleeding.
  • Clean Skin: Ensure your nose is clean and free of lotions, oils, or makeup on the day of your appointment.
  • Eat Light: Have a light meal or snack before your appointment to prevent feeling lightheaded.
Aftercare
  • Leave the Piercing In: For 12 weeks. If advanced solution has been purchased, these timings will be reduced.
  • Clean Hands: Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching your new piercing.
  • Clean the Piercing: Clean area of piercing three times per day with the solution provided onto a cotton bud
  • Avoid Touching: Refrain from touching or twisting the jewellery unnecessarily to avoid introducing bacteria.

  • Avoid Swimming: Stay out of pools, hot tubs, and the ocean for at least two weeks to prevent infection.
